NaturaShield’s main concern is always the safety of the general public and roofing crew that occupy the areas of work. In an effort to support this standard, we recently sponsored one of our employees to become a licensed asbestos supervisor.

David Roest, Spray Application Technician at NaturaShield, recently attended a five-day initial asbestos contractor training course at BDN Industrial Hygiene Consultants, Inc. The course meets all of the requirements of the EPA’s Model Accreditation Plan in 40 CFR 763 sub-part E, appendix C. The program lasted 40 hours in length and included at least 14 hours of hands-on training. At the end of the course, attendees were required to pass a 100-question exam, which David did successfully with flying colors.

It was important to us that David received the proper training and grew familiar with the rules governing work activity involving asbestos. We are excited to add Mr. Roest’s new credentials to the NaturaShield team’s overall proficiency of the commercial roofing industry.
